All Babylonian Hajj Pilgrims Who Are Departing For Makkah 2022 Have Been Vaccinated Against COVID-19 In Full Doses
BABEL - All prospective pilgrims to the Bangka Belitung Islands (Babel) who are scheduled to leave for the Holy Land in 2022 have received a full dose of COVID-19 vaccination.
The COVID-19 Task Force for the Bangka Belitung Islands Province delivered the complete dose, namely the first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
"All calhaj (prospective hajj) have been fully vaccinated, because that is the condition for the departure of pilgrims to the Holy Land of Mecca," said Secretary of the Task Force for Handling the COVID-19 Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Mikron Antariksa in Pangkalpinang, Monday, May 23.
He said the regional government also encouraged members of the hajj pilgrims who had received a complete COVID-19 vaccination to undergo a third dose of vaccination or booster vaccination.
"We continue to encourage pilgrims to take a third or booster vaccination to strengthen their body's resistance to the corona virus," he said.
Based on the Antara report, the Indonesian government in 2022 received a quota to send 100,051 people for the pilgrimage to the Holy Land of Mecca. The quota includes the regular hajj quota (92,825 people) and the special hajj quota (7,226 people).
The Provincial Government of the Bangka Belitung Islands, according to data from the Ministry of Religion, gets a quota to send 486 people for Hajj in 2022.
