Former Spokesperson For The COVID-19 Task Force, Achmad Yurianto, Dies
JAKARTA - The former spokesperson for the COVID-19 Task Force, Achmad Yurianto, died today or Saturday, May 21, 2022. He died at the age of 60.
This sad news was conveyed by the Association of Indonesian Public Health Scholars and Professionals (Persakmi) via its official Twitter account.
"Dr. Ahmad Yurianto has passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 18:58 WIB in Malang," wrote the persakmi_id account quoted by VOI, May 21.
However, there is no information regarding the cause of Achmad Yurianto's death.
However, the man who was born on March 11, 1962, was rumored to be suffering from colon cancer. In fact, he had undergone treatment at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital, Central Jakarta.
Achmad Yurianto is a doctor with a career in the TNI. His name was known when he served as a government spokesman for the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19.
This man served as spokesperson for the COVID-19 Task Force around March 2020. However, in July 2021 his position was replaced by Wiku Adisasmito.
