Acting Governor: IKN Blessing For Sulbar

MAMUJU - Acting Governor of West Sulawesi Akmal Malik said that the State Capital (IKN) in Penajam Regency, East Kalimantan Province, was a blessing for this province.

"The strategic position of West Sulawesi in the development of IKN in East Kalimantan is a blessing for us," said Akmal Malik while giving a briefing to the leaders of regional apparatus organizations (OPD) and the Acting Administrator of the West Sulawesi Provincial Government, reported by Antara, Friday, May 20.

Therefore, continued Akmal Malik, West Sulawesi must use IKN as the basic reason why the widest possible accessibility must be opened.

"I want to inspire your enthusiasm to continue working. That is the important reason why we must build synergies and good information management," said Akmal Malik, who is also the Director General of Regional Autonomy at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Acting Governor of West Sulawesi asked that future programs this year could be improved from two categories, namely first, open the widest possible accessibility of information so that investors or other networks want to visit West Sulawesi. Second, prepare more precise data.

According to him, West Sulawesi is still very minimal in terms of disseminating information to social media even though now the technology has become a major need, but West Sulawesi still cannot take advantage of it.

"I want everyone to be able to focus on building our limited resources. I know that we have all worked very well in overcoming the problems that exist in West Sulawesi," explained Akmal Malik.

He advised officials not to be too focused on sectoral data egoism, each of which creates and owns its own data.

"Even though there is a one-data policy, the percentage is not like that. It means, West Sulawesi must also be able to create and strengthen its own regional data," he said.

"Make changes that really touch the interests of the community by utilizing the natural resources that are already available," said Akmal Malik.
