Pramudya/Yeremia Defeat Malaysia's Representatives, Indonesia Pass 9 Representatives To 2021 SEA Games Quarter-finals

JAKARTA - Indonesian men's doubles, Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan managed to close the last match of the last 16 of badminton at the 2021 SEA Games with a win. This result made Indonesia pass nine representatives to the quarter-finals.

In the match which was held at Bac Giang Arena, Vietnam, Thursday, May 19, Pramudya/Yeremia pocketed a ticket to the quarter-finals after winning over the representatives of Malaysia, Junaidi Arif/Muhammad Haikal.

Facing representatives from rival countries, Pramudya/Jeremiah's struggle was fairly smooth. Because, to complete the rubber game with a score of 21-13, 17-21 and 21-14 both only needed 43 minutes.

The success of Pramudya/Yeremia was a good closing for Indonesia to reach the quarter-finals. The reason is, of the 10 representatives who were revealed in the round of 16, only one representative failed to advance, namely Christian Adinata, while the other nine qualified for the advanced round.

Christian Adinata had to settle for ending his struggle in this round after being defeated by Vietnam's representative, Tien Minh Nguyen. Despite struggling within 46 minutes, Christian was defeated by a score of 12-21 and 19-21.
