Kemenkumham Lapas In Southeast Sulawesi Are Over Capacity

He conveyed that currently efforts are being made to overcome excess capacity by redistributing some inmates or detainees to some prisons or remand centers that have not exceeded the capacity of the detention room.
"Meanwhile, what can be done is to redistribute inmates in prisons and remand centers that are not yet 'over' capacity," he said. redistribution.
"The policy is that if the occupants are above 300 percent, then redistribution must be carried out," he explained.
Based on data from the Regional Office of the Kemenkumham Sultra, a number of prisons and detention centers in this region experience excess capacity by 100 to 150 percent.
During his working visit, he provided performance guidance and strengthened bureaucratic reform to all levels in Southeast Sulawesi so that they could contribute to achieving development goals.
