Indonesia Adds Representatives In The 2021 SEA Games Badminton Quarterfinals, From Men's And Mixed Doubles
JAKARTA - Indonesia added two representatives in the quarter-finals of individual badminton at the 2022 SEA Games. The additional representatives came from men's doubles and mixed doubles.
Rinov/Pitha and Leo/Daniel followed five other Indonesian representatives who had already secured a place in the quarter-finals of the 2021 SEA Games, Thursday, May 19.
From the mixed doubles number, Rinov Rivaldy / Pitha Haningtyas Mentari managed to secure a ticket to the 2021 SEA Games quarter-finals after winning over the representatives of the Philippines, Alvin Morada / Thea Marie Pomar.
Appearing at Bac Giang Vietnam, Rinov/Pitha had to play three games for 43 minutes. They finally won with a final score of 21-15, 19-21 and 21-15.
Meanwhile, Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Martin first qualified for the quarter-finals after defeating the pair Vixunnalath Phichit/Bounpaseuth Vanthanouvong. The host's representative was arrested with a final score of 21-9 and 21-13.
Apart from Rinov/Pitha and Leo/Daniel, the Indonesian representatives who also advanced to the quarter-finals were Putri Kusuma Wardani, Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, Chico Aura Dwi, and Adnan/Michelle.
