West Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office Confiscates Land In The SWDKLLJ Corruption Case Unaccounted For

PONTIANAK - The West Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office confiscated a plot of land in a corruption case for the Uncollected Road Traffic Accident Funds Contribution (SWDKLLJ) not collected for motor vehicle taxes, fines and arrears that were not deposited into the regional treasury.

"We installed this confiscation sign based on the confiscation permit of the Sanggau District Court Number: 147/Pen.Pid/2022/PN SAG dated 27 April 2022 on behalf of the suspect GL, with a state loss of Rp 1.5 billion," said Head of the West Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office, Masyhudi in Pontianak, reported by Antara, Wednesday, May 18.

Investigators for the Special Crimes of the West Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office carried out the confiscation. The confiscated lands are located in three locations, namely a plot of land with the address in the neighborhood of Semajau RT.030/009 Beringin Village, Kapuas District, Sanggau Regency with a land area of 7,202.01 square meters.

Then a plot of land with the address at Selimus Hamlet, Seraras Village, Sekadau Hilir District, Sanggau Regency, covering an area of 95,000 square meters. And a plot of land with the address at Beringin Village, Sanggau District, Sanggau Regency covering an area of 11,060 square meters. The confiscation of this land is on suspicion of corruption of misuse of local tax revenues at the Regional Revenue Service Agency Unit (IUPPD) Balai Karangan West Kalimantan Provincial Revenue Agency from 2017 to 2020 for SWDKLLJ which is not quoted and for Motor Vehicle Taxes, Fines and Arrears which are not deposited into the state or regional treasury with a state loss of Rp. 1.5 billion.

Suspect GL at the time served as an implementing staff at the UIPPD Balai Karang UPTPPD Sanggau Region and is now in charge of the administration of correspondence at the Regional Personnel Agency of West Kalimantan Province.

The suspect is suspected of having committed a criminal act of corruption related to the misuse of tax revenues at the UIPPD Balai Karangan West Kalimantan Provincial Revenue Agency from 2017 to 2020 for SWDKLLJ which was not quoted and for motor vehicle taxes, fines and arrears that were not deposited into the regional treasury.

Kajati Masyhudi added that the disclosure of this case was the result of a collaboration between the Special Criminal Investigator of the West Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office and the West Kalimantan Provincial Inspectorate.

The suspect GL is threatened with violating Article 2 paragraph (1), Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 paragraph (1), (2), (3) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended and supplemented by Law No. Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
