VOIP VIDEO: LGBT And Law Firmness In Indonesia
JAKARTA - Not long ago, social media was shocked. The presence of two LGBT guest stars on a popular podcast. Since being posted, the video immediately reaps the pros and cons. The moral police are milling about the owner of the podcast. Diversity advocates joined the voice but almost drowned. LGBT is still considered a deviation, especially if it reaches the level of marriage. It is okay in some European countries to legalize it, but in Indonesia it is still opposed. Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD spoke out, encouraging the DPR to make a law prohibiting LGBT practices, even since 2017. According to Mahfud, there are religious moral values that should be included in the Criminal Code. However, if until now it has not been implemented, the LGBT group and their appearance in various media, have not been banned by Indonesian law. In Indonesia, in Article 292 of the Criminal Code, the issue of LGBT is only limited to the prohibition of same-sex sexual abuse between adults and children. Then what if they are both adults of the same sex, and like each other? Legal products do not yet exist, however, moral punishment will continue to echo. Watch the video below.
