CPO Corruption, Attorney General Suspect Private Party Helping Former Director General Of Foreign Trade

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has again named one suspect in the alleged corruption case in the Provision of Export Facilities for Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and its derivatives, for the period January 2021 to March 2022. The suspect is a private party.

"One suspect who has been detained is LCW (Lin Che Wei) alias WH who is seconded to the Indonesian Ministry of Trade," said Attorney General ST Burhanuddin to reporters, Tuesday, May 17.

Based on the results of the investigation, this suspect played a role with Indrasari Wisnu Wardhana in conditions for granting Export Approval (PE) permits in several companies.

Indrasari Wisnu Wardhana is a former Director General of Foreign Trade of the Indonesian Ministry of Trade who also has the status of a suspect.

"(Determination of suspects, ed) Based on the Investigation Order of the Director of Investigation of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes Number: Print-26/F.2/Fd.2/05/2022 dated May 17, 2022 and the Letter of Determination of Suspects (PIDSUS-18) Number : TAP-22/F.2/Fd.2/05/2022 dated 17 May 2022," he said.

Currently, LCW alias WH has been detained at the Salemba Detention Center of the Central Jakarta District Attorney's Office for 20 days or until June 5. Detention is carried out to speed up the investigation process. In this case, LCW alias WH is suspected of under Article 2 in conjunction with Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.

Thus, in this case, the Attorney General's Office has named five suspects. Apart from LCW, they are the Director General of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Trade, Indrasari Wisnu Wardhana. Furthermore, Master Parulian Tumanggor as Commissioner of PT Wilmar Nabati Indonesia.

Then Stanley MA as Senior Manager of Corporate Affairs of PT Pelita Agung Agrindustri/Permata Hijau Group, and Picare Tagore Sitanggang as General Manager of General Affairs Section of PT Musim Mas.
