Tanjungpinang Kepri Police Officially Becomes Polresta
KEPRI - Tanjungpinang Resort Police (Polres) has officially become Tanjungpinang City Resort Police (Polresta). The inauguration of the typology improvement was carried out by the Head of the Riau Islands Regional Police (Kepri) Inspector General of Police Aris Budiman.
"This typology improvement is based on the Decree of the National Police Chief Number Kep 114/I/2022 concerning the Upgrade of the Resort Police to the Tanjungpinang Police," said the Riau Islands Police Chief after the inauguration ceremony at the Tanjungpinang Police Headquarters page, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, May 17.
The Kapolda said that with the increase in status, the Tanjungpinang Polresta in the near future will be led by a police officer with the rank of Commissioner (Kombes) as Kapolresta.
Meanwhile, the Tanjungpinang Police Chief is still led by a police officer with the rank of Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police (AKBP).
In addition, automatically the number of personnel and the completeness of supporting equipment in all units of the Tanjungpinang Polresta will be equipped according to the needs of the leadership.
"This increase in typology must of course be accompanied by better service to the community," he emphasized.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Tanjungpinang Rahma, who was present at the event, appreciated the increase in the status of the Tanjungpinang Police.
He hopes that in the future the synergy between the Polresta and the Tanjungpinang City Government will be closer in order to advance this "Gurindam City". "With the improvement in the typology of the Tanjungpinang Police, I am sure that the security and public order situation will be more conducive," he said.
