3 Years Fugitive, Two Thieves From Selling Eggs In Tangerang Arrested By Police
TANGERANG - Police arrested two thieves from selling eggs at Kemiri Jaya Farm, Kemiri, Tangerang Regency, Banten.
The two perpetrators had the initials BH (18) and SI (19).
Tangerang Regency Police Chief Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho said the two perpetrators had been on the run since June 18, 2019. The perpetrators were arrested on Thursday, May 12.
"Tangerang Police have arrested two suspected perpetrators of theft by weight in Kemiri Village, Kemiri District, Tangerang Regency," Zain said in his statement, Sunday, May 15.
Zain said that initially the arrests started with information from residents who saw the perpetrator at a chicken farm in Kemiri Jaya, Tangerang Regency.
Based on this information, officers chased and arrested the perpetrator.
The police also examined witnesses and evidence as well as statements from the suspects.
"(The result) is that the two people are the perpetrators who carried out the theft with weight at Kemiri Jaya Farm," he said.
For their actions, the two perpetrators were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 7 years in prison.
For information, the egg theft case occurred on June 17, 2019.
At that time, MS as an employee of Kemiri Jaya Farm left Rp 87.3 million from the sale of eggs at his workplace.
Another employee, FDT, had called MS to ask if the office had been locked.
On that basis, MS was asked to return to check his office door again.
Arriving at the office, MS no longer found the money he had saved.
