Visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Vietnam, Defense Minister Prabowo: President Ho Chi Minh Is A Great Fighter Against Colonialism

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto had the opportunity to visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum which is the resting place of the proclaimer and first president of Vietnam Ho Chi Minh in Hanoi, Vietnam, Saturday 14 May. Prabowo's arrival at the Mausoleum was officially welcomed as a state guest of Vietnam.

Arriving at the Mausoleum, Prabowo headed to the grave of President Ho Chi Minh, laid a wreath, and paid his respects.

"President Ho Chi Minh is an inspiration and a good example for all people who love freedom in the world. He is a great hero in the struggle against colonialism, imperialism, and injustice," Prabowo wrote in the Mausoleum guest book when he had the opportunity to visit President Ho Chi Minh's office. , quoted from a statement quoted by Antara, Sunday, May 15.

Ho Chi Minh was the leader of Vietnam's struggle for independence against Japan, France, and the United States. He sparked the liberation of Vietnam and became a symbol of Vietnam's independence.

After Ho Chi Minh's death, Vietnam immortalized its name by changing Saigon City to Ho Chi Minh City, which is the largest city in Vietnam.

Based on previous reports, during his working visit to Vietnam, Prabowo also met with the Minister of National Defense of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, General Phan Văn Giang at the Ministry of Defense of Vietnam, Hanoi, Friday, May 13.

Through the meeting, Prabowo hopes that the two countries can exchange views and experiences in the fields of defense cooperation, regional and international issues, in order to support the national interests of Indonesia and Vietnam as friendly countries that have both fought imperialism.
