Governor Andi Sudirman Invites Bugis Merchants To Invest In South Sulawesi
MAKASSAR - Governor of South Sulawesi Andi Sudirman Sulaiman invited Bugis Makassar merchants who were attending a meeting in Makassar to invest in South Sulawesi.
“We want to ask all Bugis-Makassar merchants for help to join (invest). The doors are wide open, let's have economic sovereignty, natural resources and we stand tall to build South Sulawesi and Indonesia, which we love," Andi Sudirman said at the XXII Bugis-Makassar Merchant Meeting (PSBM) in Makassar, reported by Antara, Saturday, 14 May.
Andi Sudirman said the 2022 PSBM has a deep meaning for the brotherhood of merchants from South Sulawesi and has a very big impact on the economy and its contribution to development in South Sulawesi.
“Alhamdulillah, this activity went well and became a routine activity for all of us. A place to stay in touch, share experiences for the betterment of South Sulawesi, which we love," he said.
The government as a facilitator provides support for Bugis-Makassar merchants to collaborate. The government rolled out a red carpet for merchants who wanted to invest.
The governor hopes that South Sulawesi merchants who are known as reliable, tenacious and characterful businessmen can help the government by sharing experiences with the younger generation.
“By spreading his knowledge and experience to the younger generation and it really helps our government. Hopefully with those help it will have a generation cycle. And in the end, we will emerge as a new economic power in Indonesia through our beloved South Sulawesi,” he hoped.
Meanwhile, Jusuf Kalla said, apart from staying in touch, this meeting was also an uplifting meeting. Because with passion and discipline it will bring progress for Bugis-Makassar merchants, but also Mandar and Toraja.
“Spirit and discipline are the main parts of our capital to move forward. Including entrepreneurs," said JK.
The economy advances when entrepreneurs advance, so does the business world when there is good governance.
