Fleeing A Week After Killing A Fellow Security Guard, IK Man Surrenders Himself To The Jambi Police Outside The City

JAMBI - A person who confessed to killing a security guard at PT Mitra Cakrawala Pro Jaya (MCPJ) and has been running for a week has turned himself in to the Jambi Outer City Police (Jaluko) to account for his actions.

"Members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Jambi Outer City Police, the Muarojambi Police have received a person who turned himself in, then detained and handed over to the Batanghari Police because the location of the murder incident was in Batanghari Regency, Jambi," said Jaluko Police Chief AKP Rudy Hambali in Jambi, Antara, Thursday, 12 May.

The murderer who gave himself up to the police with the initials IK, is a PTPN VI security guard by profession. IK last week fled after killing a friend of his profession, PT MCPJ security guard on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at the Nes plantation site.

Suspect IK surrendered on Wednesday, May 11 at 01.00 WIB to the Jaluko Police. IK was then investigated and admitted that he had killed his colleague. The perpetrators will be handed over to the Batanghari Police.

IK is a resident of Muaro Sebo Village, Jaluko District, Muarojambi Regency, who works as a PTPN VI security guard who is stationed in the Batanghari Regency plantation. The Batanghari Police, who received the suspect's transfer, are still following up on the case.

The murder case took place on Jalan Nes on the border of Batanghari Regency and Muaro Jambi Regency on Sunday, May 8 at around 01.00 WIB.

After killing the perpetrators, IK fled and hid in another place and finally surrendered. There has been no information on the motive for killing the victim.
