KKN In Dancing Village Gets 3.7 Million Viewers In 11 Days, This Is The Bonus Received By Adinda Thomas
JAKARTA - The KKN film in Penari Village generated 3,724,864 viewers in cinemas throughout Indonesia in 11 days of its screening. This record beat Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) which finally aired simultaneously.
The CEO of MD Pictures, Manoj Punjabi expressed his gratitude and thanks to the community. "Thank you for supporting the film 'KKN Di Desa Dancer' by watching it live at the cinema," wrote Manoj Punjabi via his Instagram account on Wednesday, May 11.
"Continue to support Indonesian films by not recording scenes while watching in the cinema. Be proud of Indonesian films. For those who haven't watched it, come on, go to the cinema and buy tickets now," he continued.
KKN Di Desa Penari is a horror film adapted from a phenomenal thread by Simple Man, telling the story of six students who carry out a Real Work Lecture (KKN) in a remote village. However, the village they visited turned out to have many gripping mysteries.
The film stars Tissa Biani, Adinda Thomas, Aghniny Haque, Achmad Megantara, Calvin Jeremy, and Fajar Nugraha, and is directed by Avi Suryadi.
Adinda Thomas admitted that he was surprised by the achievements of the films he starred in. "I got goosebumps when I heard three days one million, six days 2 million and now it's 9 days 3 million, oh my God. That means the more people who watch, the more people come to the cinema and promote Indonesian cinema," he said when contacted.
This achievement is dedicated to the KKN film crew in Penari Village. "This is for the crew who helped make the film, because for me the number 2 million is not a big thing in Indonesia with a record that the community supports all Indonesian films by coming to the cinema. I'm speechless," he continued.
When asked what bonus he received with this achievement, Adinda Thomas answered jokingly. "Oh, there's a bonus for having steak," he said.
Adinda recalls the struggle of shooting her first horror film. He felt the filming in a state of fear, with all the scenes that were quite heavy and not easy for us, right in the village and even in the forest.
"So the filming process was not young for me, the preparation was three months, there was a workshop with snakes, there was dancing and there was Javanese dialect, I had to speak Javanese dialeg while I was of Sundanese descent, so it seemed like the dialeg was really well trained until there was a coach for the Javanese dialect," he recalls. .
No wonder Adinda Thomas also rejoices with the achievement of the KKN film record in the Dancer Village.
