Brother-in-law Molesting Perpetrator In Tulungagung Arrested

TULUNGAGUNG - Police officers (Polres) Tulungagung, East Java, arrested a man with the initials F (22) who reportedly molested a child who was still his own sister-in-law.

"We have arrested the perpetrator after receiving a report from the victim's family," said Head of Public Relations of the Tulungagung Police, Iptu Anshori, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, May 11.

According to Anshori, the abuse took place before Eid 2022, to be precise on May 1, 2022, at around 00.30 WIB.

Previously, the victim played and stayed at her brother-in-law's family house in Pucanglaban District to help prepare the 2022 Eid snacks.

He was busy preparing Eid 2022 snacks until late at night. Because it was night, the victim decided to stay and sleep in the living room.

F, who had just come home from staying up late, took advantage of this opportunity to commit immorality. Luckily that night, the victim's brother came home from work so that F's obscene act could be stopped.

The traumatized victim cried and reported the incident to her family.

The case was then reported to the Women and Children Protection Unit of the Tulungagung Police Satreskrim.

As a result of his actions, the suspect was detained at the Tulungagung Police Headquarters and charged with Article 76 E in conjunction with Article 82 (1) UURI/23/2002 as amended by UURI/35/2014 as amended by UURI/17/2016 concerning Stipulation of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law Number 1 of 2016 concerning the second amendment to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.
