DKI DPRD Agrees To Form A Special Special Committee For Jakarta Regarding Moving The State Capital To East Kalimantan
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) has agreed to form a Jakarta Special Committee (Pansus) regarding the transfer of the State Capital to East Kalimantan.
"The Deliberative Body (Bamus) targets the special committee to be formed as early as June 2022 and announced in a plenary meeting," said Deputy Chairman of the Jakarta DPRD Bamus Misan Samsuri as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, May 11.
The reason for the formation of the Special Committee for Jakarta, said Misan, is because the special committee needs further investigation after Jakarta no longer holds the status of the State Capital (IKN).
"What (Jakarta) will look like after moving the capital city, it must be planned. That's why it was formed
the special committee to formulate the results what recommendations," he said.
Misan said this had also been disclosed in the Bamus meeting held by the DPRD on Wednesday, May 11.
In addition to establishing the Jakarta Special Committee regarding IKN transfers, the meeting also agreed on the establishment of the Raperda Special Committee on the Transportation Master Plan and the Drinking Water Management Special Committee after the Aetra and Palyja work contracts.
"Aetra and Palyja's contracts will expire in January 2023. We have to discuss it because it will not be extended," he said.
