9 Residents' Houses In Southeast Aceh Were Engulfed In Flames, The Cause Is Still Being Investigated By The Authorities
ACEH - Nine housing units in Southeast Aceh Regency, Aceh Province were reported to have been burned down.
"There are 46 affected victims in 14 families," said BPBA Chief Executive Ilyas through the Data and Information Center (Pusdatin) in Banda Aceh as reported by Antara, Wednesday, May 11.
Ilyas explained that the house fire occurred in Gampong (village) Lawe Beringin Gayo, Semadam District, Southeast Aceh, Wednesday at around 04:30 WIB.
As a result, nine houses were burnt and heavily damaged. According to BPBA, the data on the victims affected were 46 people in 14 families.
"The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the authorities," he said.
In that incident, he said, a resident named Galip was electrocuted. Currently the victim has fled to a relative's place.
When receiving information on the fire, the Southeast Aceh BPBD immediately deployed three units of the fire fighting fleet (Damkar) to the scene to extinguish the fire.
"And also carried out a quick study. From the last report received by BPBA, it was reported that the fire was successfully extinguished at 07.47 WIB," he said.
To note, the distance between the capital city of Banda Aceh to Southeast Aceh Regency is about 600 kilometers, with the distance reaching 14-15 hours by road.
