COVID-19 Update As Of May 11: 400 New Cases, 916 More Healed

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 167.021 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 400 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6.049.541 people and active cases have fallen by 524 to 5.331 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, May 11.

Today's recovered cases increased by 916 people, bringing the total to 5.887.786 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 8 cases and the total was 156.424 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 129 cases and a total of 1.248.701 cases. Followed by West Java which has 64 new cases with a total of 1.105.831 cases. East Java has 47 new cases and a total of 575.763 cases. Bali has 31 new cases and a total of 157.319 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to Central Java with an additional 384 recovered cases. Followed by Lampung with an additional 248 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 87 recovered cases, and West Java with an additional 60 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 96.801.225.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 0.38 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 4.930 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently there are 199.395.854 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 165.839.856 of the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 41.603.766. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
