The Drug Mafia Is Reckless, Aceh Police Chief Asks His Men Not To Be Afraid To Fight Down To The Roots

ACEH - Aceh Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Haydar asked all his staff not to be afraid to face the action of the drug mafia and to continue to be committed to eradicating the circulation and misuse of these prohibited goods.

"These drug mafias are desperate. Even so, personnel in the field should not be afraid. Fighting continues to the roots," said Ahmad Haydar in Banda Aceh, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, May 11.

This two-star general appreciates the police officers who have succeeded in uncovering cases of drug trafficking and abuse in Aceh, such as the disclosure of drug trafficking by the Opsnal Team of the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the East Aceh Police.

In the disclosure, the police arrested two perpetrators and secured evidence in the form of one kilogram of methamphetamine.

The perpetrators MA (29) and US (41), both of whom are residents of East Aceh Regency, were arrested in an oil palm plantation area in Paya Awe Village, Idi Tunong District, East Aceh Regency. The two perpetrators are suspected of being involved in drug networks between the provinces of Aceh and Java.

"We appreciate the East Aceh Police personnel who have arrested the inter-provincial drug mafia. We ask all ranks never to be afraid to face the mafia of illicit goods and continue to eradicate the network to the root," he said.

Meanwhile, East Aceh Police Chief AKBP Mahmun Hari Sandy Sinurat revealed that during the arrest operation the East Aceh Police personnel disguised themselves because the two perpetrators were quite good at tricking the officers.

From the arrest, he said evidence was found in the form of a packet of Guanyinwang brand tea, which contained one kilogram of methamphetamine.

"Currently, the two perpetrators and evidence are secured at the East Aceh Police Headquarters. They are subject to Article 114 Paragraph (2) subsidiary Article 112 Paragraph (2) of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with a maximum penalty of life imprisonment," said Mahmun .
