More Than Ready, Otto Wallin Wants Tyson Fury Again For WBC Heavyweight Title
JAKARTA - Otto Wallin is working tirelessly in his bid to compete for the WBC heavyweight title. In 2019, the Swede suffered the only defeat of his career (23-1) against Tyson Fury.
Since then, Wallin has racked up winning streaks to challenge for the world title again. And now, he is ready to face Anthony Joshua or Oleksandr Usyk.
According to Wallin's promoter, Dmitry Salita, his client is "more than ready" to take on Fury, whose future is unclear but which looks set to be at the end of May.
The WBC hopes to be told whether Gypsy King has any future plans or he wants to end his professional career.
As we know, the two-time world champion said he would retire after successfully defending his world title against Dillian Whyte last month.
"If Fury decides to vacate the title, Wallin is ready to take his chances," said Salita as quoted by Marca, Wednesday, May 11.
Wallin's next fight is against Rydell Booker in Detroit on May 26.
