West Java Governor Absorbs Aspirations Of Bandung Regency Leaders

BANDUNG - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil absorbed the aspirations of the ulama and community leaders of Bandung Regency in the friendship between the governor and ulama and community leaders at the Bandung Regency Pendopo in Bandung City.

The Governor of West Java noted various proposals from scholars and community leaders for the development of Bandung Regency.

Later, the West Java Provincial Government will try to realize this aspiration in stages.

"Development continues and there will always be aspirations. The leader's job is to listen. Later (the aspirations) will be paid in installments, some are fast and long-term, some are intermediate," said Ridwan Kamil, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, May 10.

Some of the proposed developments include new houses of worship, new tourist attractions, and new toll roads.

To the scholars and community leaders who were present, Ridwan Kamil put forward development priorities in West Java.

Currently, the West Java Provincial Government will focus on infrastructure development.

"The priority for rebuilding is infrastructure. For the past two years (infrastructure development) has stopped because of the shift to COVID-19 and social assistance. Now the social assistance is reduced, focus again on infrastructure," said Ridwan Kamil.

The friendship forum was facilitated by the Regent of Bandung after Idul Fitri 1443 Hijriah to strengthen communication.

To the Regent of Bandung, Kang Emil advised that the regency government should focus on developing food-based tourism.

According to him, the sustenance will be present in rural areas through the sophistication of digital technology.

"My message to Bandung Regency is to focus on food-based tourism. The future of our children's sustenance lives in the village," he said.
