Rest Area Open-Close Applies To Eid Backflow

JAKARTA - PT Jasamarga Related Business (JMRB) together with other rest area management partners on the Jasa Marga Group toll road section have coordinated with the police to carry out an open/close engineering system during the Eid 1443 Hijri or Lebaran 2022 reverse flow.

General Manager of Operational Planning and Control of PT JMRB Meta Herlina Puspitaningtyas explained that the application of open/close engineering will be carried out to reduce congestion in the rest area, especially if it is being carried out one way on toll roads.

"At the discretion of the Police, we are still engineering the opening/closing of the rest area on the toll road towards Jakarta in a situational manner, especially when there is congestion in the rest area during the one-way traffic engineering," said Meta in a written statement in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Friday. , May 6th.

According to him, the rest area that is open/closed is a rest area that has the potential to cause congestion points on the toll road towards Jakarta. This is done to maximize the effectiveness of one way.

PT JMRB will also coordinate with Rest Area Management Partners and Jasa Marga Representative Office regarding the engineering of opening/closing the rest area during this reverse flow. In addition to the open/close engineering, Jasa Marga also carries out a number of traffic flow engineering schemes within the rest area if the system is implemented. one way on toll roads, considering the flow of vehicles in the rest area automatically changes.

"With this change, we have anticipated that there will be no overcrowding in the rest area," said Meta.

Meta added that when implementing the one-way system and opening/closing rest areas, PT JMRB has added to the provision of signage facilities, rubber cones, and water barriers, as well as added security personnel and traffic controllers in the rest area.

He also appealed to road users to take advantage of the rest time in the rest area as needed, so they can take turns with other road users. Meta also asks road users to ensure sufficient fuel and electronic money balances in order to maximize rest time at rest areas.
