Bus Tickets To Jakarta Sold Out, Tegal Terminal Predicts Backflow Surge On Weekends
JAKARTA - The Coordinator of the Tegal Terminal Service Unit, Soeprawito, said that until d+2 Eid there had not been a surge in backflow to Jakarta that had occurred at his place of duty.
"Two days after Lebaran, there has not been a spike in the Tegal terminal," said Soeprawito, quoted by Antara, Thursday, May 5. Soeprawito explained that from the incoming data, tickets for bus departures from the Tegal terminal to Jakarta were sold out on May 6-8. 2022. He estimates that the possibility of a surge in backflow from Tegal Terminal to Jakarta will only occur at the end of next week. "Tickets (to Jakarta) at Tegal Terminal on average have been sold out for departures on 6-8 (May 2022), but for two days after this Eid there has been no spike," said Soeprawito.
According to data from the Tegal Terminal, as of Wednesday May 4 yesterday, there were already 77 buses and 1567 passengers departing from Sumatra, Jakarta to Surabaya. Previously, the Deputy Chief of the National Police, Komjen Pol Gatot Eddy Pramono, predicted that the peak of the return flow for Lebaran 2022 would occur on August 6-8 May. Homecomers who will travel backflow are advised to leave earlier or outside these dates to avoid traffic jams and overcrowding.
