D-10 To D-1 Eid, 1.75 Million Vehicles Leave The Jabotabek Area
JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded as many as 1,757,837 vehicles leaving the Jabotabek area on D-10 to D-1 Idul Fitri 1443 H/2022.
Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head Dwimawan Heru said the figure was the cumulative number of traffic (traffic) from the four Barrier/Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (Merak direction), Ciawi GT (Peak direction), and GT Cikampek Utama and GT Kalihurip Utama (direction Trans Java and Bandung).
"The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area rose 18.6 percent compared to normal traffic for the November 2021 period with a total of 1,482,047 vehicles," Heru said in a written statement quoted by Antara, Monday, May 2.
For distribution, traffic leaving Jabotabek goes to three directions, namely the majority of 945,000 vehicles (53.8 percent) heading east, namely Trans Java and Bandung, 484,653 vehicles (27.6 percent) heading west, namely Merak and 328,184 vehicles (18.7 percent). percent) towards the South, namely Puncak.
For the east direction, traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 639,060 vehicles, an increase of 89.6 percent from normal traffic.
Meanwhile, traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road, with a total of 305,940 vehicles, decreased by 6.6 percent from normal traffic.
The total traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Trans Java and Bandung via the two GTs is 945,000 vehicles, an increase of 42.2 percent from normal traffic.
For the west, traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Merak via GT Cikupa Tangerang-Merak Toll Road is 484,653 vehicles, an increase of 1.43 percent from normal traffic.
Meanwhile for the south, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road was 328,184 vehicles, a decrease of 3.4 percent from normal traffic.
Dwimawan explained, Jasa Marga recorded 53,342 vehicles at GT Cikampek Utama, up to 72.9 percent on H-1, Sunday (1/5), when compared to normal traffic in the November 2021 period.
Jasa Marga appealed to toll road users to anticipate travel before entering the toll road. Make sure the vehicle and driver are in top condition, comply with health protocols (using masks, washing hands and maintaining distance) while in the rest area, refilling fuel and sufficient electronic money balance, and obeying the signs and directions of officers.
