Consider Legal Aid For Ade Yasin, PPP: Discussed In Internal Family

JAKARTA - The Central Executive Board of the United Development Party (DPP PPP) is preparing legal assistance if needed for Bogor Regent Ade Yasin who has been named by the KPK as a suspect in the alleged bribery case.

"The PPP DPP legal department has discussed preparing legal assistance for Ade Yasin, if needed," said PPP DPP Legal Affairs Head Andi Surya, quoted by Antara, Saturday, April 30.

According to Andi Surya, the preparation of legal aid is in accordance with the rules in the party's AD/ART, if there are administrators and cadres who are affected by legal problems, the party is ready to provide assistance if needed.

Ade Yasin is the Chair of the West Java PPP Regional Leadership Council (DPW) for the 2021-2026 period.

Andi Surya said that representatives from the PPP DPP had met with Ade Yasin's family, namely meeting his daughter in Bogor on Thursday, April 28.

"The meeting discussed the issue of legal assistance for Ade Yasin if needed. The family stated that it would be discussed first within the family," he said.

Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in the early hours of Thursday, April 28, named Bogor Regent Ade Yasin a suspect in the alleged bribery case related to the audit of financial statements at the Bogor Regency Government.

Together with Ade Yasin, the KPK also named four State Civil Apparatus (ASN) suspects in the Bogor Regency Government, namely, the Secretary of the PUPR Service Maulana Adam, the Head of the BPKAD Regional Treasury Ihsan Ayatullah, and the PPK at the PUPR Service Rizki Taufik.

The Corruption Eradication Commission also appointed four employees of the West Java Representative Audit Board (BPK) to become the auditor team for examining the financial statements of the Bogor Regency Government.

They are employees of the West Java Representative of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), namely the Head of the West Java Auditorate III/Technical Controller Anthon Merdiansyah (ATM), Head of the Bogor Regency Interim Audit Team Arko Mulawan (AM), Examiner Hendra Nur Rahmatullah Karwita (HNRK), and Examiner Gerri Ginajar Trie Rahmatullah (GGTR).

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has also detained eight people who have been named as suspects in the alleged bribery case in the management of the Bogor Regency Government's financial reports, West Java, for the 2021 Fiscal Year.

"The eight suspects were detained for 20 days from April 27, 2022 to May 16, 2022," said KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri during a press conference at the KPK Building, Jakarta, Thursday, April 28 in the morning.
