Jasa Marga: D-4 Eid 1.1 Million Vehicles Leave Jabotabek

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) recorded as many as 1,157,959 vehicles leaving the Jabotabek area on D-10 to D-4 Idul Fitri 1443 H which falls in the period 22-28 April 2022.

Jasa Marga Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head Dwimawan Heru said that this figure is the cumulative number of traffic (traffic) from the four Barrier/Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (Merak direction), Ciawi GT (Peak direction), and GT Cikampek Utama and GT Kalihurip Utama (direction Trans Java and Bandung).

"The total volume of traffic leaving the Greater Jakarta area increased by 14.1 percent compared to normal traffic for the November 2021 period with a total of 1,015,248 vehicles," said Heru in a written statement received in Jakarta, Friday, April 29.

For distribution, traffic leaving Jabotabek goes in three directions, namely the majority of 587,392 vehicles (50.7 percent) heading east (Trans Java and Bandung), 341,891 vehicles (29.5 percent) heading west (Merak), and 228,676 vehicles. (19.7 percent) towards the south (Peak).

For the east direction, traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 372,048 vehicles, an increase of 62.2 percent from normal traffic.

Then the traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road, with a total of 215,344 vehicles, decreased by 1.9 percent from normal traffic.

The total traffic leaving Jabotabek to the direction of Trans Java and Bandung through the two GTs was 587,392 vehicles, an increase of 30.8 percent from normal traffic.

For the west, traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Merak via GT Cikupa Tangerang-Merak Toll Road is 341,891 vehicles, an increase of 2.73 percent from normal traffic.

As for the southern direction, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road was 228,676 vehicles, down by 2.0 percent from normal traffic.

Dwimawan Heru explained that Jasa Marga recorded 84,234 vehicles at GT Cikampek Utama, an increase of 149.8 percent on D-4, Thursday, April 28, when compared to normal traffic in the November 2021 period.

Jasa Marga appealed to toll road users to anticipate travel before entering the toll road. Make sure the vehicle and driver are in top condition, comply with health protocols (using masks, washing hands and maintaining distance) while in the rest area, refilling fuel and sufficient electronic money balance, and obeying the signs and directions of officers.
