JAKARTA - Chairman of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Isma Yatun was present at a press conference on the announcement of a suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) related to the alleged bribery in the management of financial reports that ensnared Bogor Regent Ade Yasin. His presence aims to support the anti-corruption commission to investigate this case.
It's just that, while providing support, he was seen reading the paper in front of him. In his statement, Isma Yatun ensured that his institution and the KPK always synergize.
This synergy, he said, was carried out to realize good governance. So that BPK's support was given to investigate the case that involved four of its subordinates.
"BPK and the KPK have always worked together to create better and more accountable governance by jointly being at the forefront as a combating corruption agency in this country," said Isma Yatun at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, early Thursday. day, April 28.
"For this reason, we support efforts to uphold integrity, independence, and professionalism, and we have coordinated with the KPK regarding this incident," he added.
Isma Yatun hopes that this incident can create a deterrent effect for his other subordinates. Moreover, the appointment of members of the BPK representing West Java is a heavy blow, so it is hoped that a similar incident will not occur.
"We are very concerned about recent events involving BPK RI employees. This is a heavy blow for BPK as well as an advance warning for our institution," said Isma.
Furthermore, Isma said that his four subordinates had been disabled. "We will also process all employees suspected of being involved in this incident in accordance with applicable regulations through the BPK code of ethics," he said.
As previously reported, Ade Yasin was named a suspect for giving bribes together with MA as the Secretary for PUPR Bogor Regency, IA as the Head of Sub-Directorate for the Regional Treasury for the Bogor Regency BPKAD, and RT as the PPK for the Bogor Regency PUPR Service.
Meanwhile, the four recipients of bribes were BPK employees representing West Java, namely ATM, AM, HN, and DG. The KPK confiscated money worth more than Rp. 1 billion.
