At that time, the victim named Dewa Ayu Mas Widiantri parked his Hardtop car in a special parking lot for BRI employees. When he returned to the car, the steering wheel was missing.
The victim checked the CCTV and saw someone getting into the car. The perpetrators wear traditional Balinese clothes.
"For that incident, the victim suffered a loss of Rp. 4 million and reported it to the North Denpasar Police," he added.
From this report, the police arrested the perpetrator on Sunday, April 24. From the examination, the perpetrator admitted to stealing the steering wheel using a key and a screwdriver. The victim's car was tucked into his backpack.
The stolen car steering wheel was sold via the perpetrator's Facebook. This steering wheel was purchased by Cirebon residents for Rp. 3.3 million.
"From the sale of the steering wheel, the money has been used up to buy food and clothing, and the perpetrator admitted that he had stolen a steering wheel in several other places, namely taking a Toyota car on the side of the road in Payangan, Gianyar, and taking the steering wheel on Jalan Tukad Balian, Sanur, Denpasar.
