Gus Fahrur: Don't Get Into Opinions Cornering PBNU Bendum Mardani Maming
JAKARTA - PBNU chairman KH Ahmad Fahrur Rozi (Gus Fahrur) asked the public not to get involved in misleading opinions that were created by a group of people who wanted to corner the name of PBNU General Treasurer Mardani H Maming.
"Don't corner the General Treasurer of PBNU based on assumptions. The issues that develop are not necessarily true," said Gus Fahrur in a written statement quoted by Antara, Wednesday, April 27.
Gus Fahrur said that currently there are several parties who continue to fry this case with negative framing that corners NU.
Whereas in that case, Mardani has fulfilled the summons as a witness at the Banjarmasin Corruption Court. Mardani has also provided information regarding legal facts made under oath.
"We see that there is a systematic effort to build a negative narrative on the General Treasurer of PBNU," said Gus Fahrur.
According to Gus Fahrur, it is appropriate for LBH Ansor and LPBH NU to provide legal assistance in accordance with the provisions because some news and opinions have cornered the name of PBNU.
The results of the study by the legal team suspected that there was a systematic effort to use legal instruments by fabricating facts through baseless accusations accompanied by slander.
"The position of the PBNU Bendum is still only a witness, it is hoped that it will not be overly responsive to this," he said.
Gus Fahrur said the case was an ordinary legal case where it was normal for people to be called to be witnesses.
However, he said, it became unnatural because there was an effort to take the matter out of the context of the problem. His party considers that there are parties who create polarization and systematic opinions on this issue, especially since they have brought the name NU.
"We hope that the Nahdiyin residents will not be provoked. It's better to be tabayyun before commenting, don't make the situation worse," said the caretaker of the An Nur Bululawang Islamic Boarding School, Malang.
These cases are cases of gratification and money laundering offences which have absolutely nothing to do with the position of the General Treasurer of PBNU.
"I urge all parties to focus on the main point of the case. We must respect and respect the legal process by prioritizing the presumption of innocence," he said.
In the trial, Mardani has provided information regarding the complete facts of the IUP issuance process to a company called PT PCN that occurred in 2012.
It was also revealed in the facts of the trial that the process of issuing an IUP was based on an application and an examination was carried out. The recommendations issued are also in accordance with the rules and regulations.
