Tangerang Metro Police Monitor Increased Community Activities In Several Areas
TANGERANG - Tangerang City Metro Police admitted that until now they have not held a Ketupat Operation. However, for the establishment of the post has been established at some point.
"If the post (for Operation Ketupat) has been established, it has not yet been operationalized. But we have carried out enhanced routine activities (KRYD)," Tangerang Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin told reporters, Monday, April 25.
Regarding the implementation of KRYD, Komarudin said he would place its members in several posts which were actually used for the Ketupat Operation. The goal is to monitor people who will travel back and forth.
"Considering that since yesterday's monitoring Saturday to Sunday there has been an increase in activity. That's why we have the power to occupy these posts," he explained.
"The monitoring post, including the security post, has already placed personnel in anticipation," he continued
According to Komarudin, based on observations, there have been many drivers of two-wheeled vehicles passing towards Serang, Banten, via Jatiuwung, Tangerang City.
The majority of motorcyclists carry their belongings as if they were going home.
On last Sunday, there was an increase in the number of motorbikes crossing Jatiuwung towards Serang, which was as much as 20-30 percent.
"There are quite a number of people who use two wheels carrying goods to Serang. If we look at it, there is an increase in the range of 20-30 percent from usual," he said.
