Already Tried, Cisumdawu Toll Road Has Not Been Crowded By Homecoming On D-7
BANDUNG - The Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of the West Java Police said the Cileunyi–Sumedang–Dawuan (Cisumdawu) Toll Road on D-7 Lebaran was still not crowded with travelers even though the route is now being tested for the 2022 Eid homecoming flow.
Head of the Operations Section (KBO) of the West Java Polda Ditlantas AKBP Bayu Catur Prabowo said that at this time there were indeed several private vehicles crossing the route. But the volume is still not quite dense.
"So it's only limited to that, it's just a trial, there are already people passing by, but the percentage is still not crowded," said Bayu when contacted in Bandung, West Java, as reported by Antara, Monday, April 25.
The number of vehicles using the Cisumdawu Toll Road entering from the Padalarang-Cileunyi Toll Road does not appear to be as many as the vehicles leaving the Cileunyi Toll Gate.
The majority of vehicles driving straight towards the Cisumdawu Toll Road appear to be heavy vehicles such as trucks and buses to Sumedang.
At the intersection between the Cisumdawu Toll Road and the Cileunyi Toll Gate, several vehicles were seen violating traffic due to excessive traffic. From observations from 13.00 WIB to 14.00 WIB, there were several four-wheeled vehicles that reversed direction because they chose the lane leading to Cisumdawu. After retreating, the vehicle then entered the lane leading to the Cileunyi Toll Gate.
Overall, Bayu said that on D-7 Lebaran, traffic conditions in West Java, especially on the homecoming route, were still in a normal situation as in previous days.
At a number of toll gates, he said, there was still no significant increase. This ensures that the traffic flow on the homecoming route is still smooth.
"There has not been a significant increase related to the homecoming flow, we benchmark the Cikampek Utama and Kalihurip Utama toll gates," said Bayu.
