Died 2 Years Ago, Eddie Van Halen Bequeathed IDR 14.4 Billion For Music Education In The United States
JAKARTA - Eddie Van Halen is reported to have donated 1 million US dollars or around Rp. 14.4 billion to the charity Mr Holland's Opus Foundation (MHOF). This organization is engaged in music education to the younger generation.
Launching NME, MHOF aims to provide school-age children from less well-off families to learn about music and have access to various instruments. It was revealed that Van Halen left a seven-figure inheritance behind.

Felice Mancini, CEO of MHOF said, “Eddie's support and friendship over the years is invaluable to us and the fans. His passion for music creates a strong bond and that shows in his will.”
"Knowing how much our charities are to Eddie is very satisfying - and we know that Eddie's family believes his legacy and strong value will live on through our efforts," continued Mancini.

Van Halen's son Wolfgang expressed his pride in continuing his father's legacy by partnering with MHOF.
“What the Opus Foundation does for music education is something that has always been important to my father,” says Wolfgang.
“I am proud to help facilitate this donation as he envisioned it. The Opus Foundation is a champion for our future musicians and it is my fortune to continue this mission and carry on with the legacy of pop."
Van Halen, who died in 2020, is known to have donated 75 guitars from his personal collection to the same organization. In addition, sales of Wolfgang's song "Distance" were also donated to MHOF as a dedication to his father.
