Mayor Makes Sure Public Transport Buses In Bandung Are Appropriate To Use During Lebaran Homecoming

BANDUNG - Bandung Mayor Yana Mulyana has ensured that public transportation buses are in a proper condition for travelers to use on Eid this year.

Every public vehicle that will bring homecomers will pass tests for the safety and comfort of travelers during the trip.

"All the infrastructure is ready. Previously, we carried out a vehicle fitness test, everything was good. Hopefully everything is safe," Yana said in Bandung, West Java, Antara, Thursday, April 21.

Even though the vehicle is feasible, he still asks the bus company (PO) to make sure the drivers are in a fit condition while on duty. Bus drivers need enough rest when transporting passengers.

"And also they need to be careful, I also entrust health protocols to be applied to passengers, for example, masks can be prepared later," said Yana.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bandung City Transportation Service (Dishub) Ricky Gustiadi said he had prepared a plan for the 2022 or 1443 Hijri Eid Transport Operations.

In addition to ensuring that the homecoming fleet is in a ready and proper condition, his party will also alert personnel and establish a monitoring post.

"The monitoring will begin on April 26, 2022 or D-7 Lebaran until May 10, 2022 or D+7 Lebaran," he said.

Ricky estimates that the movement of passengers throughout the city of Bandung reaches 250,000 people, both on the homecoming and return flows.
