COVID-19 Update As Of April 21: Only 585 Positive Cases Found All Over Indonesia
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 132,086 specimens were examined with the results of 585 people being confirmed positive for COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,042,595 people and active cases have decreased by 13,872 to 31,219 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, April 21.
Today's recovered cases increased by 14,416 cases, bringing the total to 5,855,361 people recovered. Then, there were 41 positive confirmed cases and a total of 156,015 people.
Still referring to data from the Ministry of Health, the province with the highest new cases was in DKI Jakarta with 159 cases. This brings the total to 1,246,392 cases.
Followed by West Java with 139 new cases and a total of 1,104,720 cases. Then, Banten with the addition of 55 cases per day.
Meanwhile, the province with the most recovered cases today is in Central Java with the addition of 5,665 recovered cases.
Then, Papua with an additional 4,200 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 1,970 recovered cases, and Yogyakarta with an additional 1,106 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens to date has reached 94,575,455.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.58 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 4,100 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, 198,597,005 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 163,358,647 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 32,780,775 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
