DENPASAR - Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Denpasar Police Commissioner Mikael Hutabarat said that Mes Tanu alias Opa (34) who beat SB (14) and MS (9) was drunk after drinking wine.

"Then the perpetrator saw the victim MS arguing with his playmate and suddenly the perpetrator hit the victim three times with his fists," said Commissioner Mikael, Wednesday, April 20.
After that, the victim's brother with the initials SB reprimanded the perpetrator for seeing his sister being beaten. At that time, SB was also beaten.
"Due to this incident, the two victims suffered injuries, suffered lumps on the head and felt scared and traumatized," he added.
The victim's mother reported this case to the police. The perpetrator was also arrested at his boarding house on Jalan Bung Tomo, North Denpasar, Bali.
The perpetrator is known to be a neighbor of the victim. When hit, the perpetrator was drunk. The perpetrator was angry because he saw the two victims still playing late into the night in his boarding house.
"The relationship between the perpetrator and the victim is a neighbor of the boarding house. He was drunk after drinking alcohol and was angry because the children (victims) played until the night in the yard of the perpetrator's boarding house," he said.
The perpetrators were charged with Article 80, Paragraph (1) or (2) in conjunction with 76C of RI Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection.
