Muara Baru Police Chief Commissioner Debby Tri Andestrian said the incident occurred on Monday, 11.30 WIB. He added that there was one person who had the status of a wanted list (DPO) with the initials Y (40).

"There are six people, he is a crew member (ABK) in Muara Baru," said Debby when confirmed, Tuesday, April 19.

Debby explained that the incident began when Mr X hit one of the perpetrators for no reason. Then he hit another co-assault. Unable to accept being hit, the perpetrators chased Mr X until they were beaten.

"So this victim (Mr X) carried out an attack that was around there, yes, without a clear reason. So he was beaten there," he explained.

The perpetrators arrested Mr X and ganged up on the victim with objects such as iron pipes, pieces of red bricks and 3 meters long bamboo.

"He (the perpetrators) used the surrounding equipment, so it was definitely not planned," he said.

The incident was revealed after the police received reports from residents regarding the existence of a beating at the crime scene (TKP).

After checking, the police found a man lying in a position only wearing underwear. The victim is critically covered in blood.

"The victim suffered injuries to the head, the victim was bleeding fresh and on other body parts there were bruises caused by blunt objects," he explained.
