5.3 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Southeast Melonguane, BMKG Asks Residents To Be Alert

JAKARTA - An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 rocked the southeastern region of Melonguane, Talaud Islands Regency, North Sulawesi Province, Wednesday 20 April at 04.20 WIB. at coordinates 3.36 North Latitude (LU) and 126.77 East Longitude (BT). The epicenter of the earthquake is known to be at sea or 42 kilometers southeast of Melonguane. The BMKG appealed to local people to be aware of aftershocks that might occur.
