Collect CCTV Evidence And Witnesses, Police Chase Trader's Bag Snatcher In Benhil

JAKARTA - The Tanah Abang Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit is still pursuing the robber who took the bag belonging to a traveling vegetable seller in the Benhil area, Central Jakarta.

The Head of Criminal Investigation at the Tanah Abang Metro Police, Commissioner Adjutant of Police Fiernando Ardiansyah, said that currently his party is still examining witnesses and checking CCTV around the scene.

"The victim lost IDR 500 thousand and one cellphone," he told reporters, Tuesday, April 19.

Fiernando admitted that until now his party is still conducting an investigation related to the mugging case that happened to the middle-aged woman.

"The victim has already made a report to the police. The case is still being investigated, the perpetrator is in pursuit," he said.

Previously, a traveling vegetable vendor named Sularmi was targeted for a robbery on Jalan Gelinggang, Bendungan Hilir, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

The perpetrator alone using a motorbike approached the victim's vegetable cart. The perpetrator came pretending to be a buyer.

When the victim was careless, the perpetrator immediately took the victim's bag containing the money from selling, a cellphone and a buyer's debt record book. After getting the target item, the perpetrator immediately stepped on the gas.
