Jokowi Volunteers Poles Najwa Shihab About Interviewing The Minister Of Health's Vacant Seat, But Asks The Press Council

JAKARTA - Chairman of United Jokowi Volunteers, Silvia Dewi Soembarto will report journalist Najwa Sihab to Polda Metro Jaya. The report was the aftermath of Najwa's interview with an empty chair that should have been filled by the Minister of Health, Terawan Agus Putranto.

"The reason for reporting is because the person concerned discredits the Minister of Health. Even though the Minister is a representation of the President," Silvia told VOI, Tuesday, October 6.

In the empty chair interview, said Silvia, Najwa Shihab was believed to have violated the rules on cyber bullying. Because, the questions raised were considered by Jokowi's volunteers to corner the Minister of Health.

So, the video uploaded to his YouTube account on September 28 had a bad impact on Terawan's good name.

"All the questions are cornered. The impact has spread to cyber bullying," he said.

Silvia emphasized that Terawan's absence from the Najwa Shihab event should not be an opportunity to create an event with an empty chair interview concept. Moreover, based on the information he got, Terawan's absence had strong reasons.

"What is the urgency of coming to the event. Even though I know that at that time Pak Terawan was at the Police Hospital and UI Hospital to check COVID-19 handling equipment," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding reporting, said Silvia, the police through the SPKT had received it and were immediately directed to the Cyber Crime Sub-Directorate for consultation. Silvia was asked to coordinate first with the Press Council.

However, Silvia claims to have coordinated with the Press Council. The results of the coordination he was asked to make an official letter.

"Before the report to the police, we actually coordinated with the Press Council. We were asked to make an official letter and what we will suffer," he said.
