Asks Luhut To Resign As A Result Of Bragging About Big Data For Postponing Elections, Amien Rais: He Has Become The Number 1 Public Enemy

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Syuro Council of the Ummat Party, Amien Rais, asked Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan to resign from his position as Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves).

This request to withdraw is related to Luhut who still maintains the big data argument of 110 million netizens agreeing that the postponement of the 2024 general election is correct. On the one hand, the public urges Luhut to be transparent about real data from big data that is about the extension of the presidential term.

"Mr Luhut should resign immediately. Most of the civil society, I believe, no longer trust Pak Luhut. Please resign, the sooner, the better," Amien said at the 1st Anniversary of the Ummat Party, Sunday, April 17.

In fact, if Luhut does not want to step down from his position in the cabinet, Amien urges Jokowi to fire him. "If Luhut is reckless and has caught up with the narcissistic megalomania he has, Pak Jokowi should fire him," he said.

According to the former chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly, Luhut's claim about big data on election delays is quite ridiculous. This claim, said Amien, made Luhut now bear the title of a public enemy.

"It's ridiculous that Luhut boasts that he has evidence based on big data that 110 million people ask for a postponement of the election and an extension of the presidential term for three terms. Luhut doesn't realize he is hallucinating and has become public enemy number one because of because of the hallucinations," he said.

Previously, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut B Pandjaitan claimed that there were 110 million netizens who wanted the election to be postponed. Luhut explained that the discourse came from the majority of Indonesian people's aspirations on social media which he collected into big data.

"Because of this, we have big data, I want to see, we have big data, from that big data, we grab around 110 million. Yes, 110 million, various kinds, Facebook, all kinds, because people play Twitter, about 110 million people," said Luhut in a podcast on one YouTube account.

From this data, Luhut explained that the lower middle class wanted a calm socio-political condition. The people, said Luhut, do not want political noise and prefer economic conditions to be improved.

"In the middle to lower class, basically we want to be calm, we want to talk about the economy, we don't want it to be like yesterday. Yesterday we had a toothache with a camphor, cebong lah, kadrun, that's not good. so," he explained.

However, Luhut is reluctant to reveal the real data about big data even though many have urged the former Head of KSP to explain it to the public. Luhut only confirmed that the data was true and he was not making it up.
