Observers Say The Strength Of The State Budget Can Attract Investors' Attention To IKN
JAKARTA - Infrastructure observer from The Housing and Urban Development (The HUD) Institute Yayat Supriatna assesses that the APBN budget is the main backbone of the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago for 2024.
"The APBN budget is the main backbone of IKN for 2024," Yayat said, quoted by Antara, Sunday, April 17.
According to him, currently for acceleration until 2024 most of the focus is on APBN funds, and most work comes from the Ministry of PUPR related to road infrastructure, construction and construction of water utilities, and so on.
This is because the strength of the APBN is the forerunner of IKN which can attract the attention and interest of investors both domestically and abroad.
"With quality infrastructure standards and good service, investors will be interested in investing in IKN," said Yayat.
Previously, the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati said the government had reserved a budget of IDR 27-30 trillion in the 2023 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) for the purposes of developing IKN Nusantara.
"We also in the APBN next year have reserved for the development expenditure of the new state capital, which is between Rp. 27-30 trillion in order to build basic infrastructure," said Sri Mulyani.
He said the allocation from the 2023 APBN would later be used to build a government building for the Ministry of Transportation, which will play a role in creating connectivity nodes at IKN Nusantara.
