Bobby Nasution Reports To PUPR Minister Plans For Flyover Project From Manhattan Intersection To Medan Teladan Stadium, Hoping To Be Covered By The State Budget
MEDAN - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution met with the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono. Bobby Nasution reported that the Medan City Government plans to build a number of important infrastructure in the city of Medan.
The infrastructure that will be built is a flyover on Jalan Gatot Subroto Simpang Manhattan, the revitalization of the Teladan Stadium and Kebun Bunga Stadium as well as the construction and maintenance of the existing national road in the city of Medan.
To the Minister of PUPR in a meeting, Thursday, April 14, Bobby Nasution hoped that this prestigious project could use the full state budget.
"Thank God, I met the Minister of PUPR. I conveyed the development plan in Medan City. This year everything will be completed until the physical construction can start in 2023," said Bobby Nasution in a written statement on public relations for the Medan City Government, Saturday, April 16.
The Mayor of Medan is trying to make the budget needed to build the infrastructure fully use the APBN. This is because the government's budget is not sufficient. For your information, the revitalization of the Teladan Stadium requires a budget of around Rp800 billion.
"Yes, we hope that the entire budget will be covered by the state budget. But if it is not possible, we will combine it with the local budget that we have," Bobby concluded.
In addition, road repairs are also a priority for the Medan City Government. Bobby Nasution continues to encourage the performance of the Medan City Public Works Department to speed up road repairs.
In the 2022 Fiscal Year, the Medan City Government has carried out road repairs through the Public Works Department at the beginning of the year (Quarter I). Whereas so far and has become a culture, road repairs are carried out at the end of the year.
Based on data from the Medan City Public Works Agency, there are 59 paved asphalt works that have been carried out in the first quarter of 2022.
These 59 roads are located in 8 sub-districts with a total length of 32,832 meters or 32.83 km, a total area of 183,539 square meters, a total tonnage of 14,236 tons of AC WC and 5,145 tons of AC BC.
Rapid action to improve infrastructure is carried out because the existence of good roads is very vital. Apart from supporting the smooth running of residents' activities, it also encourages community economic growth.
"The auction can be carried out as early as possible in accordance with applicable regulations. In addition, as much as 20% of the budget absorption must be carried out in the first quarter as well as possible," said Bobby Nasution.
