Police Secure 4 Trucks Transporting Thousands Of Liters Of Subsidized Diesel In Jayapura
JAYAPURA - The Papua Police Ditreskrimsus team secured 4 trucks transporting diesel fuel at Youtefa Market, Abepura District, Jayapura.
The arrests occurred after the Papuan Police received reports from the public about the scarcity of subsidized diesel fuel in Jayapura.
The Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Drs. Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, said that the arrest of 4 trucks transporting subsidized diesel was carried out after the police conducted an investigation.
"Personnel of the Dit Reskrimsus Polda Papua moved after receiving reports from the public since 10:00 WIT and managed to secure the 4 trucks transporting subsidized diesel and their driver around 8:00 p.m. WIT around Youtefa Market, Jayapura City," said Kombes Kamal, Saturday, April 16.
The four drivers who were detained had the initials AS, AA, I and S with evidence of a transport truck, 9 drums of subsidized bio diesel containing 1,800 liters of subsidized diesel, 7 jerry cans containing 245 subsidized diesel and a diesel suction machine.
"Papua Police personnel are still investigating the case because it is possible that the perpetrators were not only the four drivers but also the involvement of unscrupulous officers at the gas station," said Kombes Kamal.
The perpetrators and the evidence were taken to the Papua Police Headquarters for further investigation.
