466 Takjil Samples In Bengkulu Province Already Examined By BPOM

BENGKULU CITY - The Bengkulu Province Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) has examined 466 takjil samples being sold in several parts of Bengkulu Province.

Head of BPOM Bengkulu Yogi Abaso Mataram, said the examination was carried out on takjil samples taken from areas such as Mukomuko Regency, Central Bengkulu Regency, North Bengkulu Regency, and Bengkulu City.

"So far, we have examined 466 samples and found no hazardous materials (in takjil samples)," he said as quoted by Antara, Thursday, April 14.

BPOM, he said, would then examine samples of takjil sold in Bengkulu Selatan Regency, Seluma Regency, Kaur Regency, and Lebong Regency. Yogi said that takjil samples were taken, among others, from traders selling in micro, small, and medium business centers.

The examination of takjil samples was carried out to ensure that the food sold by traders during Ramadan did not contain chemicals that could endanger the health of residents.
