East Java Provincial Government Prepares Homecoming Command Post To Serve COVID-19 Vaccination

MALANG - The East Java Provincial Government will prepare homecoming posts equipped with COVID-19 vaccination services for people who will return to their hometowns to the East Java region to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijriyah.

East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa said the homecoming post which served COVID-19 vaccination for the community was planned to be prepared in a number of areas in East Java.

"We agree that at the homecoming points there will be command posts to carry out vaccinations," he said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, April 12.

The Governor explained that in relation to which points will be prepared for COVID-19 vaccination services for people who carry out the Lebaran homecoming, the East Java Regional Police (Polda) is currently finalizing it.

According to him, during the Eid 2022 homecoming implementation this time, the East Java Provincial Government and the East Java Regional Police will not block the flow of vehicles that will enter the area.

"If there is no partition, but the post will be spread out. I have asked the Kapolda for help regarding the final number," he said.

In facing this Lebaran homecoming, he continued, the East Java Provincial Government will also prepare free homecoming transportation specifically for ships that cross to the islands in Sumenep, Madura.

"Homecoming is free, there are ships to fly to the islands in Sumenep," said Khofifah Indar Parawansa.

The government has set a national holiday for Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijri May 2-3, 2022, while collective leave falls on April 29, 4, 5, and May 6, 2022. The government estimates that around 85 million people will go home for Eid 2022.

There are a number of requirements for travelers, including for people who have just received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, they are still required to attach a PCR test result that is valid 3x24 hours before traveling.

Meanwhile, for people who have received the second dose, they only need to attach the results of the 1x24 hour antigen test or 3x24 hour PCR. Meanwhile, people who have received a booster or booster dose do not need to attach test results as a condition of travel.

It was recorded that in East Java Province, there were a total of 574,608 positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 697 active cases. Of the total, 542,390 people were reported to have recovered, 31,521 were declared dead, and the rest were under treatment.
