Jokowi Promises The Government Will Be More Serious In Implementing Ombudsman Recommendations
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received an audience with the Ombudsman at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta today. The Indonesian Ombudsman submits the 2021 annual report as well as discusses several things.
Indonesian Ombudsman member Dadan Suparjo Suharmawijaya stated that Jokowi promised that the government, both ministries, state institutions, and local governments would be more serious in carrying out recommendations from the results of the Ombudsman's supervision on a state administration issue.
"Mr. President promised to take the results of the ombudsman's general supervision seriously to be followed up by the president, because indeed what was submitted was a supervisory report", said Dadan in the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube show, Tuesday, April 12.
"The President said that the Ombudsman as a state institution has consistently supervised public services and the government will be serious about the results of the supervision submitted by the Ombudsman", he continued.
Meanwhile, in delivering the results of the annual performance, the Ombudsman conveyed several important agendas in order to improve the quality of public service delivery in Indonesia.
"The results of the Ombudsman's performance during 2021 will focus on several issues, including the completion of public reports, then prevention of maladministration through a public service compliance survey at the regional and ministry level, and institutional development", said Chief Ombudsman, Mokhammad Najih.
