WL! Ramadan Momentum, BRI Offers Digital Zakat Payment Facility

JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) provides zakat, infaq and alms (ZIS) payment facilities through official digital channels developed by the company.

BRI's Consumer Director, Handayani, said that the optimization of services, which coincided with Ramadan, seeks to accommodate community activities in sharing kindness with others.

"BRI as the largest bank in Indonesia continues to strive to be a solution to every customer's financial needs," he said in an official statement on Tuesday, April 12.

According to Handayani, BRImo's digital service allows people to easily carry out their worship and obligations through the solutions offered. He said, customers only need to scan the Quick Response Code Indonesia Standard (QRIS) service to be able to share with others.

"BRI continues to innovate from the digital aspect and we hope that it will be easier for the community to perform zakat, infaq, and alms worship from anywhere," he said.

Meanwhile, in this activity, the state-owned bank collaborated with a number of partners such as Dompet Dhuafa Republika, the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS), Rumah Zakat, Baitul Mal Foundation (YBM) BRI, as well as in various mosques and prayer rooms that serve donation payments through the QRIS facility.

"The performance of the BRI digital sector grew rapidly through the official application, with a record that until March 2022 there were 16.10 million users with a transaction rate of 313.88 million or grew 238 percent year on year (yoy)," concluded Handayani.
