This Wamenparekraf, Son Of Conglomerate Hary Tanoesoedibjo, Encourages Women To Become Smart And Tough Figures In Entrepreneurship
JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Angela Tanoesoedibjo stated that his party encourages the creation of an entrepreneurial ecosystem that favors women through various programs.
These include facilitating access to capital, business assistance, facilitation of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), improving work quality through training, certification, promotions, events, and digitizing businesses to digital platforms.
"Why do women have to be smart and tough? The answer is simple, because they are the ones who guide the nation's next generation, character building, and moral generation," said the son of conglomerate Hary Tanoesoedibjo when giving a speech at the World Student Association (PPI) event in an official statement, quoted from Antara, Tuesday 12 April.
Entering the era of disruption 5.0 and the demographic bonus, he continued, it was found that half the population in Indonesia was dominated by women. In this case, Angela supports the role of women as policy makers and decision makers in organizations considering that women's existence is not only limited to the home.
The more representation of women in strategic positions, he continued, the faster an environment that accommodates women's multiple roles will be created. In addition, it also appreciates the contribution of women in the family, community, and nation building.
"The role of women is very important during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data from Indonesia's MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) before the pandemic, 60 percent of MSMEs were managed by women, and this data increases to 64.5 percent in 2021," he said. he.
As is known, more than 99.9 percent of the total business actors come from MSMEs. This sector absorbs 97 percent of the total national workforce and contributes to Indonesia's gross domestic product (GDP) by 57 percent.
On the other hand, he still sees that there is one eye on the role of women so that the mental condition of women is disturbed, especially during the pandemic.
"UN Women found that 75 percent of women felt that their mental health was disturbed during the COVID-19 pandemic," said Wamenparekraf.
Therefore, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is said to be committed to providing support to women in running tourism businesses and the creative economy as well as working in these environments.
