Students Are Asked To Convey Their Inspiration Peacefully
LEBAK - Islamic High School (STAI) academician Latansa Mashiro Rangkasbitung, Lebak Regency, Banten Mochammad Husen invited protesters from the All Indonesia Student Executive Board (BEM) to convey their aspirations in an orderly and peaceful manner without violence.
"We ask that the demonstration in Jakarta can convey its aspirations without violating the law," said Husen, in Lebak, Monday, April 10.
According to him, demonstrations are a feature of freedom of assembly and association which are also protected by law, because they are part of democracy.
However, the submission of aspirations must be in an orderly manner according to the law and not commit anarchism or violence that can harm the community.
Likewise, security officers did not take repressive actions against the protesters, he also said.
He reminded that officers must guard and accompany the participants of the action and there should be no violence, nor should they carry live bullets, and should not be provoked by provocations.
It is feared that the action was infiltrated by people who were fishing to cause riots and violate the law.
"We hope that officers appear before the protesters to give sympathy without violence," he said, quoted by Antara.
According to him, demonstrations demanding the discourse of refusing to extend the presidential term of office to three terms and postponing the 2024 election can be submitted to the Government and the DPR in an intellectual and orderly manner.
Students are asked to show intellectuality in academic studies who are used to debating and discussing, and not to cause noise and violate the law, especially at this time of the holy month of Ramadan, where Muslims are fasting.

Moreover, the government has stated that it will continue to carry out the 2024 elections in a democratic and constitutional manner, and there is no extension of the three presidential terms.
